Antique Vintage Rugs
A rather eccentric section of carpets and still little known to much of the furniture and collecting world. The fascination for the East has always contributed to the birth of carpet production in Europe too. Few people know that pile carpets and kilims have been and still are produced in Europe. In Scandinavia, for example, the textile tradition is recognized not only locally but also globally. The “modernist” style of many carpets in this section certainly recalls the avant-garde style of twentieth century painters and artists. This rugs can certainly be defined as the true “vintage” carpets of the past century, ranging in production, both in “neoclassical” and hyper-modernist taste. This is a section full of carpets coming from sometimes unlikely geographical areas and with the most disparate decorative styles. These rugs can be combined with “stylish” environments or shown as true works of art, which can also be hung on the wall. Surely these collector rugs hits our eyes for their original design and for their versatility.
