Rug Description

This is a semi-antique Moroccan Marrakesh rug woven circa 1950 and measures 176 x 91CM in size. This rug design incorporates four polychrome-colored center medallions flanked by star motifs set on a deep dark black background color. its main border is comprised of a single zigzag line with alternating red and white colors creating a frame around the rug. The weaver’s technique of using neon polychrome colors to decorate all of the motifs on this rug creates a dramatic visual impact against the dark black background color. this rug has been preserved in full pile perfect condition and has been professionally washed.
