Rug Description

An antique Luri kelleh, South-West Persia
Size, approx: 400cm. x 195cm.
The soft ivory field with overall diagonal rows of stylised polychrome floral panels. In deep indigo border of multicoloured flowering vases between yellow angular motif and barber-pole stripes. Checkered skirt, kilim and fringes at each end. Very nicely drawn design and very good colour combination. This carpet has slight localised wear to the top pile. Otherwise good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages and ends original. In general, this carpet is in very good usable condition. Very attractive and great furnishing piece. Woven on wool foundation.
