Textile Description
This is an antique silk embroidery woven during the 18th century in Azerbaijan and measures 47 x 47CM in size. This textile has an all-over geometric design with alternating rows of hexagonal and diamond-shaped motifs set on a sky-blue background color. the border of this textile follows in the same geometric design with connecting star and diamond-shaped motifs set on a light-yellow background color. This piece has been mounted on textile for its preservation and presentation. this textile has some located areas of wear and staining As well as oxidation of the black color which is consistent with its age.
