Rug Description

An antique Ushak carpet, Turkey
Size, approx: 436cm. x 370cm.
The light beige field with angular floral and leafy vine together with central pale-red floral panel. Open floral spandrels. In pale red border of bold polychrome hooked palmettes and angular floral vine between floral meander, reciprocal and plain stripes.
Very good type with very nicely drawn design and soft colours. This carpet has localised wear to the pile down to collar knot and below. Scattered old repairs, well done. Selvages and ends secured.
In general this carpet is in decent usable condition despite imperfections. Great furnishing piece. Sought after type on the market.
