Rug Description

The abrashed rust-red field with large concentric medallion with multiple pendants containing polychrome palmettes enclosing arabesque double centrepiece. Linked spandrels with bold palmette and floral meander. In an ivory border of multicoloured palmette and floral vine between similar stripes. Outer barber-pole and plain stripes.

Very good type with bold appearance and well balanced colours. This rug has good pile. Selvages and ends, secured. In general this piece is in very good usable condtition. Attractive and very good furnishing rug.
