Description
This is an antique Kuba rug woven in the northern part of the Caucasus mountains and was woven during the end of the 19th century. It has a unique all-over highly geometric design that has saturated colors on a black background creating a dramatic contrast. The ivory border is also decorated with polychrome geometric motifs creates a dramatic contrast against the dark-colored field. This rug is woven on a wool foundation with a wool pile and has an extremely fine weave. It is in full pile condition and due to the unique design and color combination, this rug would make a great addition to any collection or added in a home to create a unique feeling.
