Textile Description
This is an antique Swedish textile woven during the 19th century that measures 96 x 51CM in size. this textile has a horizontal format with a pictorial design of a lady being greeted by an Angel with wings enclosed Within a circle created by a brick design. Above each of these circles is a protecting Angel with blue protruding wings set on a black background color. the field is comprised of different blossoming floral motifs spread throughout the textile which are set on a black background color. This piece has been backed and mounted for preservation and display purposes and is in extremely good condition making it highly collectible.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
