Rug Description

A fine antique Lilihan carpet, West Persia
Size, approx: 360cm. x 271cm.
The deep indigo field with overall design of f multicoloured hooked palmettes, rosettes and meandering floral and leafy vine.
In pale terracotta border of similar design between double flowering vine and plain stripes. Nicely drawn design with very well balanced colours. This carpet has full pile, soft and lustrous wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes l, secured. In general this carpet is in very good condition throughout. Attractive and great furnishing piece.
