Rug Description
A fine Shirvan kelleh, East Caucasus. The pale terracotta field with fine lozenge lattice and large hooked medallion with multiple pendants containing holes mordant and square hooked panels enclosing ice-blue hooked rectangular centrepiece. Charcoal-black hooked panel and floral motif linked spandrels. In an ivory multicoloured hooked panel border between reciprocal stripes. Very nice and bold design and well balanced colours. This rug has good pile throughout. Ends and selvages original. In general very good condition. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
