All colours, contrasts and filling patterns are easily readable thanks to the fineness of the knotting, the use of colors and the quality of the wools. The rest of the background of this stunning antique Caucasian Kuba (Quba) carpet is decorated with hooked crosses motifs, incorporated into rectangular tiles, accompanying the modulation of the medallions together with other filling motifs such as rosettes and zoomorphic elements.
