Rug Description

Antique Azerbaijani Seycour (Zeikhur) Rug ca. 1920. A wonderful antique Azerbaijani Seychour (Zeikhur) carpet with all over design. The background of this antique Seychour (Zeikhur) carpet, on a midnight blue background, is dominated by floral motifs in Gul Farang style (French flower) to which carnation motifs are added, arranged in parallel and alternating. The background is crossed by some tonal changes, in blue and petrol green, offering a very defined and detailed perception of the design. The main border of this antique Caucasian Seychour carpet is very stylized and well modulated around the entire perimeter. The state of conservation of this rare Caucasian Seychour (Zeichur) carpet is excellent, the unique design allows you to make any environment elegant and original.


At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured.
