Malayer rug
Approx: 168. x 109cm.
The indigo field with very elegant overall design of stylised polychrome bold boteh motifs together with angular floral motifs. In broad shaded blue border of large multicoloured radiation open floral panels and delicate angular floral tendrils between rust linked panel and palmette with stripes. Outer barber-pole stripe. Very we drawn motifs and very good colour combination. This rug had good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages original, ends with short fringes secured.
