Antique persian Kashan Kurk wool Rug with Classical Medallion Field, 1900 ca. A wonderful antique Kashan wool Kurk carpet in classic style with central medallion. The medallion, oblong, with a rhomboid shape, is finely decorated with floral elements in a delightful contrast between terracotta, blue and brick red colours, perfectly balanced in size and chromatic effect. The background of this ancient Kashan kurk carpet is in natural wool colour, elegantly filled with floral and palmette motifs. The counter-edges are filled harmoniously and preceded by delicate segments at the corners, in ash blue colour. The main border of this antique Kashan carpet is sinuously distributed in plays of colors and shapes that prelude and finely set the decoration of the background. The state of conservation of this antique Kashan carpet is exceptional. A classic antique Kashan carpet with silky wool and warm shades can only embellish and refine your environment.
