Rug Description

Antique Caucasian Daghestan carpet. 1920-1950. Antique Caucasian carpet from Dagestan with a thick and soft pile completely knotted in wool. The background of this Caucasian Dagestan carpet develops all over, across the board on a brick red background, welcoming the lattice decoration which punctuates the modulation of the design with a refined play of color contrasts. Very particular, in this ancient Caucasian Dagestan carpet are the main borders, which give us a refined succession and alternation of bird motifs harmoniously in shade and in contrast with the rest of the carpet. The state of conservation of this antique Caucasian Dagestan carpet is truly excellent. Thanks to its modular design and “edgy” lines, this antique Dagestan carpet can coexist with any environment, even with modern furnishings.
