Rug Description
This is an antique Bidjar rug woven and northwest Iran during the end of the 19th century and measures 220x 140CM in size. it has an all-over design that is called “Golfarang” which translates to foreign flower and was influenced by the French Aubusson and Savonnerie pieces. The border has a floral design interconnected with green leaves set on a midnight blue background color. this piece has been preserved in excellent condition and has retained its full pile which will allow it to be used and enjoyed for many generations to come.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
