Rug Description
An antique Panderma saph rug, Turkey.
The field divided to three horizontal sections, each with links multiple prayer panels, containing floral sprays, stylised trees and hanging lamps and stylised mihrab above. In shaded charcoal-brown border or stylised leafy sprays and cone devises between angular floral and leafy vine stripes.
Very good type with soft colour scheme. Design drawn although unusual as normally thus type would have single row of prayer panels in long rug or runner. This rug has slight even wear to the pile down to knot collar and below in places. Selvages original with touches of fraying. Ends with short fringes, minute loss to the guard stripe. In general good usable condition. Despite imperfections this rug still retains a very good look.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
