Rug Description

This is a semi-antique silk European rug woven during the mid-20th century circa 1940’s and measures 185 x 125CM in size. The design of this piece is based on early 17th century Persian rugs woven exclusively for the Safavid court that has been reproduced ever since. it has a center medallion set on a light black background color and has an extremely soft color palette that uses pastel colors making it extremely decorative and highly desirable by designers. it has been preserved in excellent full pile condition and has been professionally washed.

At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured.
