Rug Description

This is Peking Carpet from northeast china and it was woven circa 1880. It has an open field design using only one color blue and the border is a darker shade of blue. The only motifs used in the rug are traditional buildings with trees and flowers. This rug has been woven on a cotton foundation with 100% wool pile. It has also been cleaned and is ready to be used and enjoyed.
