Rug Description

This is an antique pecking Chinese rug woven during the beginning of the 20th century circa 1900. It hasn’t all over field design with a larger center Medallion made up of connected floral motifs. The other motifs spread throughout the field are made up of blossoming branches and traditional Chinese designs which are set on a light blue background color. The border of this drug is highly unique and has an extremely intricate geometric design. This rug is in overall good condition with some areas of wear that are consistent with its age.

At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
