Rug Description
This is an antique Khorjin bag woven by the Shahsavan tribe located in Northwest Persia during the end of the 19th century. The highly saturated yellow color creates a dramatic color contrast against the deep blue field. This Khorjin is in extremely good condition as most of them have signs of use, cut down the middle separating the two bags, and many do not have the original kilim backing. The only defect to this beautiful textile is the small hole located in the bridge in between the bags. The color combination and condition of this Khorjin makes stand apart from the many bags in the market.
