Rug Description

Mahal rug
Approx: 367cm. x 280cm.
Very good type, combination of Sarouk-Mahal with very soft and lustrous wool quality used to weave this carpet. Design is very nicely drawn on shaded rust-red field of  bold multicoloured floral medallion floral garlands and similar open floral spandrels. In an indigo border of stylised palmettes, floral sprays, floral and leafy vine between linked chain, ribbon and plain stripes. This carpet has full pile. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, this carpet is in very good condition, very elegant and great furnishing piece. Explore our amazing collection of Mahal rugs.
