Rug Description

A fine antique Haji-Jalili Tabriz carpet, North-West Persia
Size, approx: 415cm. x 330cm.
The abrashed pale-blue plain field with large light-beige floral medallion with pendants containing pale-rust smaller floral medallion with sandy-beige blue leafy shape panel snd bold rosette centrepiece. Pale rust floral spandrels. In rust-red border of polychrome angular stylised trees and floral floral sprigs between multiple flowering vine, ribbon and plain stripes.
Great example for this type with very good colour combination, bold appearance. This carpet has very good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured.
In general this carpet is in very good usable condition throughout. Very attractive and lovely furnishing piece. Sought after type on the market.
