Description

The ivory field with stylised polychrome open bold herati pattern around camel beige serrated lozenge medallions with pendants containing similar design. Herati indigo spandrels. In rust and blue triple border of flowering and leafy vine between barber-pole and plain stripes.

Classic for this type with well drawn design and good colour combination. This rug has wear to the pile, down to knot collar showing warps in places. Scattered small old repairs well done. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends original. Despite imperfection this rug is in decent usable condition. Unusual small size. Elegant piece.
