An antique Turkmen rug torba
The rust-red field with hooked lozenge panels containing angular floral motifs flanked by serrated half panels at each end each with angular floral spray. In polychrome hooked bar border between zig-zag and plain stripe. Narrow kotchak motif skirt at one end. Very good type with elegant design and well balanced colours. This rug has good pile, soft wool quality. Ends and selvages original. In general, this piece is in very good condition.
