Rug Description

An unusual silk Kayseri rug, Turkey
The ivory field with central shape double medallion with floral and arabesques motifs enclosing floral centrepiece. Open spandrels similar. In palmette vine narrow border and outer plain stripe. Unusual size with very well dawn design and soft pastel colours. This rug has wear to the pile, down to knot collar in places. Selvages and ends with original fringes. Despite imperfections, this rug is in good usable condition. Still retains a classic look.
