A fine Kerman rug, south Persia
The light beige field with delicate scrolling floral and leafy vine around multicoloured open floral and arabesque medallion together with floral centrepiece. All surrounded by stylised broad open frame border of bold palmettes floral sprays and arabesques. Very nicely drawn designate good colour combination. This rug has very good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound, very well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, this rug is in very good usable condition. Very good square size, seldom found in rug size and sought after. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
