A massive Amritzar carpet, North India
Size, approx: 582cm. x 432cm
The field with polychrome pale metre, flower-heads, floral and leafy vine around large medallion with pendants containing similar design. In light beige border of bold palmettes, angular floral and leafy vine between rosette, S-motif and plain stripes.
Very good type, sought after on the market. Very nicely drawn design and classic colours. This carpet has good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition. Great furnishing piece and good square size. Attractive.
