Rug Description
Antique Khotan Rug, 1900 ca. A rather unusual Khotan carpet in decorative composition. In fact, carpets with a double medallion at the ends of the background with a small medallion with an eight-pointed star in the center are uncommon. The shades of red tending towards khaki make this carpet particularly charming. Small rosettes surround the central medallion and the very clear and defined brown counter borders. On a sand-coloured background, there is a succession of vine shoot motifs with pointed leaves supported by warm pastel tones. Excellent state of conservation. Explore our collection of special rugs.
