Rug Description
An antique Tibetan horse saddle cover.
The rust field divided to two half’s, each with shaped floral panel and floral motifs surrounded by key-pattern border between pearl-seed and plain stripes.
Classic for this type with nice design and well balanced colours. This piece has good pile, soft and thick wool quality, woven in two half’s sawn together. Edges and back of this horse saddle cover is backed with textile in very traditional way, typical for this type. In general very good usable condition. Very good example, Attractive.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured.
