The design of this antique Seychour (Zeikhur) carpet develops across the board with a “St. Andrew’s cross” motif on a dark blue background. The color palette that makes up this antique Seychour Caucasian carpet is very balanced and with a very refined taste. The tones of the filling elements are very delicate and tending towards pastel, accompanying the contrasting colors of ivory and blue with harmony and elegance. The leaf border in the “European tapestry” style which characterizes the originality of this antique Seychour (Zeikhur) carpet is very interesting and unusual. The state of conservation of this ancient Caucasian carpet is excellent, the wool is soft and compact, the designs well marked and balanced across the entire background.
