Rug Description
An antique Haji-Jalili Tabriz carpet, North-West Persia
Size, approx: 391cm. x 283cm.
The soft light beige field with scrolling floral and lefty vine around pale dusty-pink and pale green double floral medallion with palmette pendants. Wide dusty-pink and pale green floral spandrels similar. In rust border of stylised polychrome turtle-palmettes, angular rosette and left vine between flowering vine, bold floral motifs and plain stripes. Very good type with very nicely drawn design and good colour combination. This carpet has light localised wear to the top pile, barley visible, otherwise good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages original with touches ms of fraying on cord. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition throughout. Very attractive and great furnishing piece.

So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
