An antique perisan rug souf Jozan, west Persia
The sandy-yellow field with soft terracotta overall raised deign of stylised angular floral and leafy motifs. In deep indigo broad border of polychrome palmettes floral meander and angular floral tendrils between ivory floral vine, barber-pole and plain strips. Beautiful example, very seldom found in the market of souf type. Very good colour combination and great overall design. This rug is in very good condition throughout. Selvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Very attractive and elegant piece.
