Rug Description
Antique Persian Nain Tudeshk Rug, 1920 ca. A semi-antique Persian Nain Tudeshk carpet on a red background, extremely rare. The decorative composition of this Nain tudeshk carpet develops in a central medallion design on a midnight blue background. The medallion of this semi-antique Nain Tudeshk carpet is as complex as it is meticulous in every detail. The definition of the design seems to have been obtained by a spirograph, rather than by the ingenuity and wisdom of the hands. The color combinations of this semi-antique Nain Tudesh are perfectly in harmony, interspersing designs and shapes clearly chiseled the entire surface of the carpet. The edges and counter-edges in midnight blue frame the background with grace and elegance. The state of conservation of this Nain Tudeshk carpet is excellent. Although this type of carpet is not yet counted among those of ancient manufacture, their rarity and small number of carpets made elevate these manufactures not only as highest quality rugs but absolutely worth collecting and maintaining with care.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured.
