Rug Description

All-over Persian Nain Tudeshk Hand-knotted Semi-Antique Rug, 1920-1950. A real rarity, this semi-antique Persian Nain Tudeshk carpet. Nain Tudeshk carpets are extremely sought after for their extraordinary fineness of design and the quality of the first choice Kurk wools. In this Nain Tudeshk carpet, the structure of the cotton carpet has a knot density equal to or greater than carpets made with silk warp and weft. The “Tudeshk” carpets had a very limited production and the only carpets on the market are only of the highest quality, much more than other famous carpets made in the city of Nain. The design of this Nain Tudeshlk develops across the entire ivory background, with a paradise garden design, rich in floral motifs, small saplings and colorful birds. The wools are further embellished with small silk inserts on the flower petals, giving us further color brilliance. The main border, squeezed between the two smaller borders, is exceptionally sober; colours, contrasts and dimensions of the motifs chase each other with vibrant stylistic elegance, perfectly balanced across all tones. The state of conservation of this carpet is excellent. Despite being a “relatively” young carpet, this Nain Tudeshk fully embodies the care, refinement and innovative style that only Persian carpets can achieve. The state of conservation of this semi-antique Nain Tudeshk carpet is simply extraordinary.
