Rug Description
An antique Kerman rug, south Persia
Very good example and seldom found saddle cover from Kerman weaving. The red field with central stylised multicoloured flowering tree flanked by rosette and leafy vine. Crescent shaped opening for saddle back with palmettes and flowering vases below. In an indigo rosettes, floral motifs and leafy vine border between light beige angular motifs and plain stripes. Very good colour combination and elegant design. This saddle cover has very good pile. Selvage all around is secured. This piece is also backed with canvas. In general, very good usable condition. Attractive and sought after type on the market. Explore our amazing collection of antique persian rugs.
