Rug Description
An antique Manchester Kashan Rug circular, central Persia
The soft red field with overall design of four multicoloured stylised floral bouquets together with flowering vases flanked by perching birds. In an indigo border of palmettes and flowering vine between floral meander and plain stripes. Great quality and rare example in this size. Design is very nicely drawn. Colours are well balanced. This rug has full pile, very soft and lustrous wool quality. Selvages original with original fringes. In general, this rug is in very good condition throughout. Attractive piece.
