Antique Heriz Serapi rug, late 19th century: chromatic majesty and architectural rigor. A rare and imposing specimen of Serapi craftsmanship, the most prestigious and sought-after quality within the Heriz district of Persian Azerbaijan. This rug represents the perfect synthesis of tribal strength and courtly elegance: a monumental central star-shaped medallion expands across an open field, creating a visual impact of extraordinary power and nobility.

The wool quality is superb, typical of the finest Serapi pieces: high-altitude wool, lustrous and full-bodied, giving the pile an almost glass-like sheen and legendary durability. The chromatic palette, masterfully balanced and achieved through premium natural dyes, features a soft yet vibrant coral red that harmonizes with the creamy field and the deep cobalt blue of the medallion.
