Rug Description
The ivory field with overall design of diagonal rows stylised open panels with linked polychrome flower-heads flanked by angular leaves and floral tendrils. In abrashed blue-green border of Y-shaped panels and various polychrome angular floral motifs between ivory floral meander and plain stripes.
Very nice example from north-west Persian Bijar district. Good colour combination and nicely drawn overall design. A part of tiny wear to the top pile in few places barely visible, this runner has good pile and is in very good usable condition. Selvages and ends secured. Great furnishing size, long and narrow, sought after on the market. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
