Textile Description

This exceptional Chinese textile panel is crafted from rich imperial yellow silk, traditionally reserved for the Emperor and high-ranking nobility in the Qing Dynasty. The surface is woven with intricate cloud scrolls, floral medallions, and stylized lotus blossoms, all highlighted by shimmering metallic threads. Framed by a dark navy-blue border, featuring scrolling tendrils and auspicious motifs, the contrast accentuates the luxurious golden field. The elongated vertical layout suggests it was used as a temple hanging, throne back, or processional textile within an imperial or high ceremonial context. Its luminous palette and fantastic craftsmanship reflect the refinement of Qing imperial workshops, making this an exceptional example of Chinese textile artistry and a rare piece for collectors or institutions.
