Textile Description
This is an antique Indian cashmere textile woven during the end of the 19th-century circle 1890 and measures 161 x 151CM in size. this piece’s design revolves around alternating colored columns of paisley’s which are created with extremely fine and smaller floral motifs. This textile has been woven using 100% natural vegetable dyes and has an extremely fine weave making it a highly collectible piece. It also has been retained in excellent condition with its original sites and most of its fringes.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
