An exquisite antique Chinese rug Imperial kesi weaving, measuring 187 × 63 cm, masterfully crafted in silk and metal thread during the Qing Dynasty, 19th century. Kesi (meaning “cut silk”) is among the most prized weaving techniques in Chinese textile history — traditionally reserved for the court and imperial circles. This rare panel radiates regal opulence with its imperial yellow ground, symbolizing the Emperor, and a rhythmic serpentine motif woven in shimmering metal thread that adds both visual movement and symbolic power.
