Textile Description
This isn’t antique pictorial tapestry woven during the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1920’s and measures 140 x 90CM in size. The design of this piece is of a traditional European royal scene with a lady entering the room and musicians playing in the background. the color combination of this piece adds vibrancy and makes it extremely attractive. a unique feature is a signature located in the top left of the textile which is most likely the name of the weaver or the person who had ordered it. This tapestry has been preserved in excellent condition and is ready to be framed and displayed on the wall in any modern or traditional setting.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
