Rug Description
An unusual pair of fine part silk Tehran rugs, north Persia. Each with light Sandy-beige field divided to two unequal panes containing bold serrated palmettes and palmette and leafy vine between double border of small rosette vine and plain stripes. Very unusual pair of rugs with unique design and colour combination for this type. Both rigs have very good pile, lustrous wool quality and part silk in design. Selvages original. Ends with short fringes, secured. In general, both rugs are in very good usable condition. Very attractive pair of rugs.
