Rug Description

This is a Chinese Peking Rug woven in China during the 19th century and measures 177 x 90 CM in size. Its field is created with an intricate geometric design and has traditional Chinese motifs scattered throughout the field which are enclosed in circles. its border is made up of different traditional Chinese motifs such as flowers pottery and fruits all set on a yellow background color that creates color contrast against the darker colored field. it has been preserved in excellent condition retaining all of its original full pile and has recently been professionally washed making it ready to be added to any collection or to be used in any modern or traditional setting for many years to come.
