Rug Description

This is an antique Tibetan horse saddle woven during the 19th century and measures 128 x 75CM in size. Its field design is comprised of a single tree with a large-scale flower accompanied by two blossoming flowers and leaves set on an open field background which creates a dramatic visual effect by drawing the viewer’s eye towards the center of the peace. the border is made up of a traditional cloud design with polychrome colors that stems from Chinese origins. this piece has been preserved and excellent full pile condition and has been made using an extensive color palette making it a true collector’s piece that would fit in any collection.

 


At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured. Upon request, we can provide a complete condition report (including any retouch performed by our restoration team), if it is not already presented down below.
