Rug Description

This is an antique Tuduk rug woven in Romania during the second quarter of the 20th century circa 1920 -1950s and measures 200 x 118 CM in size. This piece has a prayer rug design with three center medallions set on a red background color and the mihrab is designed with floral motifs set on a beige background color. The border is made using alternating colored blossoming floral motifs set on a black background color creating dramatic color contrast. This piece has been preserved in excellent condition and still retains its original top kilim finish. this example is extremely decorative and colorful making it a highly desirable and decorative piece that will fit in any home.
