Rug Description

Antique Rug Silk Farahan Beige Field Color, 19th Century

Rare and refined Farahan rug entirely woven in silk, hand-knotted in the 19th century. The beige field highlights an elegant Tree of Life motif, topped by a small pink niche at the upper part and enriched with refined polychrome floral patterns. The color palette, extremely harmonious, alternates olive green, mustard, lapis-lazuli blue and sky blue with delicate shades of pink, straw yellow and ash gray, creating elegant and well-balanced contrasts. The main border in pale blue, decorated with rhythmic floral motifs, frames and protects the central field. Condition: excellent, carefully conserved in the Mollaian Rugs Gallery. Size: small-to-medium format, ideal for exclusive living rooms, elegant bedrooms, studies and spaces where a signature piece that combines warmth, harmony and elegance is needed. Also perfect for bright interiors or rooms with strong color contrasts.  Explore our amazing collection of Farahan rugs.
