A fine antique part silk Tehran rug, North Persia
The soft sandy-yellow field with meandering multicoloured palette and leafy vine together with stylised floral bouquets around concentric pistachio medallion with bold palmettes. In sandy yellow border of meandering palmettes and leafy vine between light blue floral meander, together with reciprocal, barber-pole and plain stripes. Very good type with good colour combinations and nicely drawn floral design. This rug has full pile very soft wool quality and part silk in design. Ends and selvages original. In general, those rug is in very good condition throughout. Attractive piece.
