Rug Description
An antique Tibetan mat,
Classic for this type with central floral roundel flamed by key-pattern spandrel. In Buddhist motif and lotus flowerhead border between pearl-seed and plain stripes. This mat has slight wear to the top pile in few places, otherwise good pile. Typical meditation piece used by monks to sit in temple. Ends and selvages secured. In general, this piece is in very good usable condition. Nice example for this type.
At Mollaian srl we try to do our best, giving a new life to some of antique rugs with minor problems, that may have affected by age. So, apart from what is visible on the presented photos, it should be noted that the rugs are professionally cleaned, and where necessary, the Selvages/Sides and Ends/Fringes have been secured.
